If you don't know what it is or how to use it, and you dind't find this because you needed it, don't download it. This is an app exclusively used to root some devices. Some models of Galaxy and Acer won't make it work.
How can you install it? Well you should know if you need it, but let's see:
-First of all you need to enable USB debugging and make sure your SD card is installed.
-Then move the APK to your phone and use some file manager to install it.
-Open it, it will promp a window telling you what I said on the first step. Just click the Root device button.
-Wait for it to work and when it finishes and if there were no problems, it should reboot your phone. Wait, it may take some time, for me it was like 4 minutes, for some people even more, since it has to fully clean up cache.

That should make it work. Of course to make useful a rooted phone you will need superuser (SU) installed, and you may also want to get busybox, but there are some root-required apps that will prompt you with a message telling you if you don't have them.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, before you use it make sure your phone and model are compatible. Don't blame me if you fuck up your phone, if you do, then you're just a noob and I'll ignore you ;)

ReplyDeleteNothing I can do about that, it usually happens when your Antivirus checks for files inside a compressed file, and since ginger break is a process that modifies internal data to root a device, this apk is usually considered like a virus for a lot of Antivirus. So it just deletes it as soon as you finish downloading it.
